HOW BARR. UJU KENNEDY TURNED AROUND FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS.

Undoubtedly, the sterling achievements of BARR. UJU KENNEDY OHANENYE, as the Hon. Minister Of Women Affairs are worthy to celebrate.

Every organization or institution that is thriving is obviously blessed with a good leader. The Federal Ministry of Women Affairs is indeed thriving because a woman with a remarkable ability is at the helms of affairs. That person is Barr. Uju Kennedy

Barr. Uju’s leadership is at this moment adjudged the best in the history of the federal ministry of women affairs.

This statement is confirmed by the majority of staff of the federal ministry of women affairs.

Her concern from inception of her tenure to date always borders on staff welfarism and improved of good services for all. Without mincing word, staffers are living witnesses to an unprecedented improvement her administration had been able to record.

An administrator who has a listening ear and interacts with the union leaders on issues affecting members of staff is surely bond to succeed. Such is the administration of BARR. UJU KENNEDY and her leadership style. This is described as a trait that distincts her administration from previous ones.

It is however good to point out right here the secret behind the accomplishments. On assuming duty she began by appreciating the efforts and contributions of her predecessors who laid solid foundation and good records in the ministry. 

It was from there she identified the most important and urgent needs of the federal Ministry if women affairs.

This she did by thorough study of the available records at her disposal and physical inspection of existant policies, programs and structures in the ministry that gave her full insight and sense of direction of how to move the ministry to another level of development. 

In her effort to apply the best of his ability to reposition and improve the performance of the ministry, the hon.  minister was able to record numerous achievements

Barr. Uju, has done a lot to maintain industrial harmony. Her open door policy to the leadership of various Workers in the ministry through regular interaction has led to a continuous industrial harmony with attendant positive consequences of unhindered results oriented programme.

The mantra of Barr. Uju, is staff welfarism with Management and proffer workable solutions. Instances of staff welfarism, courtesy of her administration include but not limited to; payment of arrears, allowances, regularization of staff appointments, regular promotion and conversion exercise and regular staff training/ development sponsorship other entitlements for the staff.

Speaking on staff welfare, the Minister, vowed to respect the rights of staffers with equally treatment and promised not to deny them their rights and entitlements.

The Minister has also promoted religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and industrial harmony.
